Teej
Teej festival is a very important festival which is celebrated by women. ‘Teej’ refers to third and it's called Hariyali Teej because of the lush greenery we see after it rains. These festivals are celebrated on the third day of the waxing moon in the Hindu month of Shravan, and on the third day of the waning and waxing moons in the Hindu month of Bhadrapada. Women come together and welcome the monsoon by dressing up in bright-colored clothing, singing, dancing, applying henna on their hands, and many more. This festival is devoted to Goddess Parvati and her union with Lord Shiva. Hariyali Teej is one of the three Teejs celebrated across the country.
