Rakhi
Raksha Bandhan is an Indian festival that celebrates the bond of a brother and sister, it is celebrated in August. The word ‘Raksha’ means protection and ‘Bandhan’ means bond. The bond that is shared by brother and sister is a very special and unique one. On this beautiful occasion, the sisters tie a sacred thread, that is Rakhi, on their brother's wrist. This is done to wish them good health and long life. And the brothers, in turn, bless their sisters and promise to protect and take care of them. The sisters receive gifts like money, dress, and many more from their brothers as a token of love. Brothers and sisters of all ages celebrate this festival with a lot of joy and enthusiasm.
