- Puja should begin with the meditation of Lord Krishna in fornt of Lord Krishna’s Idol/Picture.
- Sit in Aavahan Mudra is formed by joining both palms and folding both thumbs inwards)
- Take flowers and offer them to Lord Krishna as a Asan(seat)
- Wash the feet of Lord Krishna’s Idol with water
- Offer water for head Abhisek to Lord Krishna
- Offer water for sipping (Anchamana) to Lord Krishna
- Bath Lord Krishna’s Idol with water
- Offer Moli as new clothes to Lord Krishna
- Offer Yajnopavita ( the sacred thread worn over the left shoulder and hanging under the right) to Lord Krishna
- Offer scent to Lord Krishna
- Decorate Lord Krishna’s Idol with jewellery
- Offer fragrance stuff to Lord Krishna
- Offer flowers to Lord Krishna
- Now worship Lord Krishna’s body parts by taking Gandha, Akshata and Pushpa in left hand and leaving them near to Lord Krishna’s Idol
- Offer dhoop to Lord Krishna
- Offer deep to Lord Krishna
- Offer Naivedya (sweets) to Lord Krishna
- Offer Tambulam (a preparation combining betel leaf with areca nut and sometimes also with tobacco)
- Offer dakshina to Lord Krishna
- Perform Lord Krishna’s aarti
- Perform Pradakshina (circumambulation) making rounds from left to right of Lord Krishna’s Idol
- Ask for pardon from Lord Krishna for any mistake you may have committed during puja
